A quirky noughts an and crosses game box, which makes a great talking point as a table centre piece. This item is fun and practical having a secret compartment that allows keepsakes to be stored as well as a separate area to store the game pieces. The details required on this noughts an and crosses game box made this one of my most lengthiest projects to date.
Materials
Handmade from solid oak and sapele and features decorative inlays and ornamental routering. To protect its contents, the inside is lined with blue baize. This lid is locked shut with a gold coloured clasp and opens on gold coloured hinges.
This noughts an and crosses game box is finished with 3 coats of danish oil, 2 coats of polyurethane and 2 coats of paste wax.
