This torched wooden trinket box makes an ideal small storage solution for any rustic themed room. Its size will allow storage for commonly misplaced items or even items deemed as clutter such as keys, television remotes, candles or even cutlery on a dining room table.
Torched Wooden Trinket Box Materials
It is made from English pine wood. The hinges are handmade using solid Oak for contrast. The lid opens 90 degrees with an antique brass lift up lid stay and is held shut with a magnet. The top of the torched wooden trinket box is finished with a grey textured paint. The exposed wood has been finished in polyurethane to protect and seal in the torched effect.
Making The Trinket Box
To achieve the finish of this box it was torched to really enhance the grain. You can see a video of the torching process in the news section of the site.
